March Madness!!!

Since March Madness wasn't on for the first half of the week last week, Scott and the boys were going through withdrawls. Thursday morning they all got up and in their way of getting dressed, they all put on their jerseys and started playing basketball. Scott said it was time to get back in the mode since Duke would be playing that day. Hopefully they didn't lose because we got a little too pumped. It was fun for the boys to be able to play and pretend like they were the guys on TV playing ball.
Austin doing his version of a dunk!

The boys getting pumped up for the day!

Koen is catching on really well - when we go tell him to shoot the ball he knows exactly what to do even though he can't quite reach or throw that far.

All 3 boys in their jerseys - Go Duke! Thanks for the jerseys, Cam and Cami!
Oh and just as a side note - I am wasting Scott on our NCAA brackets. Just had to brag for a minute! :)

Koen's Sign Language!

Since Koen can't quite talk yet, we have been trying to teach him some sign language and this is his progress . . .

"Please"

"More"

It's so fun to see how proud of himself he gets. He is growing up so fast. It's crazy!

Dance . . . Because We Can!

Last weekend my mom had her regular Broncadette night, but it was no ordinary Broncadette Night. Yes, it's true - she invited all of us Alumni back to perform just for fun. She sent out DVDs to all the girls that would be able to come and then the night before and the day of we practiced all together. It was so much fun to practice again (as weird as that may sound), but it was even more fun to perform again. I got just as nervous as I always did (if not a little more) and it was so much fun just to go out on the gym floor and show the audience how much I love to dance. It was awesome. The night before we had a get together at my mom's house and it was so much fun to chat and watch old dance videos. Wow - I miss those days of dance.

Some of the lovely decorations and food done by Lorraine! Great job!

The Friday Night Crew
Annie & I came upstairs in these lovely Broncadette outfits from 1997. Yeah - you could say we had a bit of a struggle putting them on. It was funny though!

SISTERS! (Kelsi, Annie, Katie)

Katie, Misty, and Tia wearing the lovely plastic jackets while watching the "SHOUT" routine! That routine was one of the best!

And the practice begins!

Mom - doing her thing!

Scott & I taking our usual Broncadette Night picture! Although I couldn't get Scott to stop talking for even a second to take the picture.
Thanks so much to everyone that came and was a part of this and those of you that couldn't come - we missed you! Maybe we can do it again sometime :)

KOEN IS WALKING!!!

Well, it's official! Koen is walking! He is still falling every now and again, but he is getting it down pretty good. It's amazing how one moment they will have no interest and then the next thing you know, they are taking off. He is so happy he can follow everyone on foot. He is so proud of himself (probably because we have made it such a big deal every time he does walk). It's so fun though - he walks around just to walk around. What a fun milestone. You thought he was happy before - he's so much happier! I know it's hard to imagine - but it's true! He's so much fun to have in our house. Great job Koen!!!

It's Amazing What Kids Learn

A couple of weeks ago, the boys and I were getting ready to run some errands. I asked Austin to get his socks and shoes on and he runs in his room.
He comes back out and said, "These ones?"

I said, "Austin, those are your church socks. You can't wear those."
He looked at me very seriously and said, "MOM, you get what you get and you don't throw a fit." I was floored that he said that. It was hilarious! Do you think I have said that to him one too many times? I guess kids do really catch on.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

We had a great Valentine's weekend. It all started on Friday night . . . we decided to do the Papa Murphy's heart shaped pizza special. Austin thought that was the coolest thing ever.

I don't know why this pictured is turned the wrong way. Sorry!!!

This picture was probably the 5th or 6th try. We had a hard time getting Austin and Koen to look at the camera. They were a little too anxious to eat the pizza.
Later that night, Scott and I were able to trade babysitting with his sister and were able to attend the Stake Valentine's Dance. It was difficult at first because all that was played was 70s music, but as we were getting ready to leave - a couple of songs that we recognized were played and we were able to dance as normal. It was fun! Thanks Bryce and Keri for the trade!
Saturday we went to Outback Steakhouse for lunch with all the Ulrichs (minus the kids). We haven't done that in a long time so it was really fun. That evening we surprised the boys with some balloons and a little treat.

Austin loved that they both had their own bouquet.

Koen just loves balloons period.

Scott even surprised me with a new coat that I have been wanting. Thanks honey! I love it! We had a great Valentine's holiday. Hope you all did too!!!

What BUGS me???

My friend Sari BUG TAGGED me a while ago which means that I am supposed to share 10 things that incredibly bug me!! This should be fun!

1. When there is time left on the microwave . . . I don't know why, but for some reason when there is time left on the microwave and there is nothing in it - it bugs. I always have to clear it. That is probably a little bit weird, but I can't help it.

2. Laundry (especially whites) . . . Not only is laundry annoying, but the whites are terrible. I don't mind washing them, it's the folding that bugs me - it just takes forever!

3. Clutter . . . And unfortunately my house is clutter central. It drives me crazy and I don't know what to do about it. I try to declutter and get rid of stuff, but it just doesn't seem to help. Maybe it's a sign that I have WAY too much stuff.

4. Hair . . . My hair drives me crazy, not only because I have to do it everyday and you can't even tell that I've done it, but I shed like crazy. When I am done getting ready for the day I seriously have to wipe up the floor daily. From combing it, to blowing drying, to straightening - I loose a ton of hair. It drives me crazy that it ends up all over the floor and counter and it bugs Scott too..

5. (At this point) Snow . . . I can only handle snow for so long. I am so ready for spring it's not even funny - granted I have enjoyed not worrying about how my yard looks with the weeds and all, but then again I love having the warm weather and not having to worry about slick roads all the time.

6. Socks with holes . . . Even though I do own some, I hate to wear them because they are uncomfortable. The problem is, I can't get myself to throw them away because they are so cute. I need to just break down and do it - they are just taking up space which takes me back to my clutter annoyance (sp? if it's even a word).
7. Taking out the garbage . . . I don't know how and why the garbage fills up so fast, but it does. I hate changing the garbage and taking it outside. It's a pain, but I do it because it has to be done.
8. Boogers . . . This time is year is also buggy for that reason. My kids' noses run non-stop. Koen is teething right now so his nose is constantly running. It bugs me to see dried boogs on clothes, pillowcases, sheets, etc.
9. People in lines . . . Everywhere you go there is a line and no matter what there is always someone that thinks they are in such a hurry that they are more important than everyone else in the line whether they are in the front or the back. Yes, we are all in a hurry sometimes, but you still have to wait your turn and be patient.
10. Crumbs . . . Crumbs drive me crazy whether they are on the floor, the counter, the table, the carseat, etc. They are such a pain and hard to clean up sometimes. To walk in the kitchen with crumbs on the floor is so not comfortable. I will be the first to admit that it is difficult to keep up with kids and also ourselves when it comes to crumbs, but I try really hard. With Koen constantly on the kitchen floor and eating something or another - that is proof that I am not very good at it - but I try.
Well - I would like to tag Erin D., Keri S., Edee U., Kaci W., Brittany M., Cami K., and Misty K.
